3D and Graphic Design

An award-winning museum designer, Chris Hudson has wide experience working with national and local museums, heritage organisations and archaeological projects and is convinced that the best ideas come from interaction.

Chris believes it is possible to excite an audience through the dynamic use of space and the introduction of striking (but appropriate) design elements, which enhance their settings and content.

He aims to make every project unique, seeking inspiration from the content of each exhibition, to avoid delivering ‘off the shelf’ design. Chris’s work at Kilmartin House, Dorchester Abbey and Sutton Hoo has attracted both awards and favourable responses. He has a strong interest in history, pre-history and built heritage. He particularly likes small museums and is used to working in listed buildings and with limited budgets.

As a ‘hands on’ designer, he works closely with clients, spending as much time as necessary with them and the collections, and closely supervises installations on site. This ensures that clients get a high quality job which fully meets their brief.

Chris has led seminars on museum and exhibition design in the UK, India, Peru and Venezuela (he speaks Spanish fluently), and is an honorary lecturer at the Institute of Archaeology, University College, London.
